James R Kubec

James R. Kubec, Jr., 49, of Rock Island, passed away, Thursday, April 1, 2021, at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

James was born on November 13, 1971, in Rock Island, the son of James R. and Constance (Smith) Kubec, Sr.  He previously worked in construction.  James loved being outdoors fishing and grilling.  He also liked to play horseshoes and cook.

Survivors include his children, Chad Kubec, Destiny Hopwood, and Katelyn Kubec; sisters, Marla (Ian) Klein, and Brenda (Jon) Sturm; significant other, Cora Talley; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Shannon.
