James R. Spiegel, 68 of East Moline passed away November 3, 2008 at his residence.
There will be a visitation from 12:00-1:00 on Thursday, November 6th at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Avenue, Moline followed by a Masonic Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
James was born on August 12, 1940 in Rock Island the son of Richard and Elizabeth Spiegel. He married Patricia Waldman on May 11, 1963 in Moline.
James was employed as a tool designer for the Arsenal/CAT and a truck driver for Mosher Bros.
He was a member of #1014 A.F. & A.M. Valley of Moline Lodge, the East End Club, and the Svithiod Club. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed the Bears and NASCAR, especially Dale Sr. He was a veteran, having served in the Navy. He especially loved his dog.
Survivors include his wife Patricia, 2 sons James Jr. and Michael of East Moline and grandchildren Katy and Adam and his mother Elizabeth and John Armel.
He was preceded in death by his father.
