Jan "Mike" Michael Campbell

Mike Campbell, a husband, father, son and friend, passed away at the age of 52 at Unity Point Health Trinity Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday, August 08, 2026, surrounded by all of his family.

A private celebration of life is being arranged. Per Mike Campbell’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made and sent to the family.

Mike Campbell Jr. was born on November 23, 1973, in Silvis, Illinois. He was the son of Jan M. Campbell Sr. and Lou Campbell. Jan Michael (Mike) married Jenna Schoenbrun in Cave City, Arkansas on September 18, 1999.

Mike enjoyed many things in his youth such as football, Moline Boys Choir, bowling, band and of course his many friends. He loved spending time with family and his two dogs. Mike loved playing video games with his family. He also loved music and played the saxophone in Moline High School band, Black College Band and played in the band for the Playcrafters Barn Theatre.

He was a fantastic father to Jack, William, and Sarah Campbell. He always knew how to help with homework and solve everyone's problems. He always knew how to put a smile on your face and always had open arms for everyone. Mike always considered you a friend and was always willing to help anyone. Mike loved watching scary movies, loved biology, science, and technology.

Mike Campbell graduated from Moline High School. Mike graduated from Black Hawk College with an Associate's degree. He also graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Mike worked at Oscar Mayer, Rock Island Arsenal, and at present was working for AT&T.

Survivors include his children, Jack Campbell, William Campbell, and Sarah Campbell; mother, Lou Campbell; sister, Michelle Campbell; nephew, Anthony Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jenna and his father Jan Michael Campbell Sr.

Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his patient heart and his unwavering devotion to his family.

We would like to thank all Unity Point Hospital (Rock Island) Emergency Room Staff and the Moline Fire Department for making a difficult time much easier for their compassion during this situation.
