Jane E. Johnson, 92, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, May 04, 2015, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jane was born on July 28, 1922, in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of John Alfred and Sophie Pehrson Johnson and lived most of her life in Moline, IL. She graduated from Moline High School in 1940 and was employed with Moline tool for 18 years and Deere and Company for 23 years.
After retiring from John Deere, Jane kept in touch with her many friends through organized breakfast and luncheons. She enjoyed travel, sewing and needle crafts. Her needlepoint birds will be especially treasured. She was a great help to her friends in their later years by taking them to appointments an ensuring they were well taken care of.
Survivors include her nephew, Jeffrey Johnson, of Milpitas, CA, who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clifford Duwaine Johnson.
