Janet L. Mudgett, 76, formerly of Moline, died on February 21, 2015 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Visitation for Janet will be 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at First Covenant Church, 3303 41 Street, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, it was Janet's wish that memorials be directed to the First Covenant Church, Moline or to a favorite charity.
Janet was born on July 20, 1938 in Moline, the daughter of David and Freda Cox Sandberg. She married Edward E. Mudgett on April 6, 1957 in Moline; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1987.
Janet was a church secretary at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline for over 30 years. She was a member of First Covenant Church in Moline where she was involved with the church choir, Christian Education Board and was on the Diaconate Board of the Church. Janet was also a very active volunteer with TLC Ministries, an after school reading program. She also was the producer of "Dialogue," a Churches United television program in the 70's.
She is survived by her 4 Daughters
