Janette Sandholm

Janette M. Sandholm, 86, of Coal Valley, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Elim Covenant Church, 5201 18th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center.

Janette was born on January 4, 1928, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Saddie (Doppler) Kipping. She married William E. Sandholm on September 6, 1947, in Moline, and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2012.

While her children were growing up she was active in PTA, a room mother at the elementary school, and volunteered her time as a den mother for Cub Scouts. Janette most recently worked at the clock tower on Arsenal Island. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Great grandchildren Elizabeth, Isabel, Olivia, and Calvin

Cleone Natsis

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joe Kipping, John Kipping, and Francis Kreiger.
