Janice F. Bates

Janice F. Bates, 84, of Moline, passed away Friday April 12, 2024, at Celebrate of Moline.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday April 19, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. The burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

 Janice was born on August 14, 1939, in Pearl, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Gladys (Gourley) Hauger. She married Clifford R. Bates on June 4, 1960, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2021. She enjoyed knitting, crafts and playing bingo. Above all, Janice loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Alice Blankenfeld; sons, George (Linda) Bates, Curtis Bates, Scott Bates; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Arnold (Marita) Hauger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Paul.
