Janice L. Gilmore

Janice L. Gilmore, 73, of Silvis, IL, passed away, July 31, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Janice was born on November 7, 1951, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Donald L. and Grace A. (Hillock) Fulscher. She married Edward R. Gilmore in Sanpedro, CA on December 29, 1971. Janice worked as a manager at Burkes Cleaners for 15 years and then at the Salvation Army thrift store in Moline. One of Janice’s greatest joys in life was being a grandma.

Survivors include her children, Russell Gilmore, Joseph Gilmore, Mary Kay E. Gilmore; grandchildren, KyLeigh, Vanessa, Samantha, Josef, Braydy and Myles; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Emilio; siblings, Mary Jo (Kerry) Pisman, Donald Fulscher, and Jerry (Pat) Fulscher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; daughter, Dana Gilmore; siblings, Daniel Fulscher, Nancy Kay, Beth, Kathy, and Susie.
