Janice A. Kron, 72, of Orion, IL, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402 10th Street, Orion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janice was born on April 13, 1943, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Jack and Lee Rossmiller. She married Jerry Kron at St. Ann's Catholic Church in East Moline, IL, on April 25, 1964. She was the owner of S.A.H.C.S. Salon in Orion and later Studio K Salon in Moline.
Janice was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Orion. For many years, she was the make-up artist for Orion's local community theatre, Corn Cobb Players. She was also a member of Valley View Country Club in Cambridge where she loved to golf.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry; children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Kron, Metamora, IL, and Jay (Jackie) Kron, Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Allison, Josh, Jessica, Briana, and Conner; siblings, Dale (Dana) Rossmiller, Moline, IL, Neil (Connie) Rossmiller, Hoytsville, UT, Joyce (Craig) Miller, Bradenton, FL, and Myrna (Alan) West, Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Pat (Larry) Taylor, Moline, IL; 7 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary.
