Jarred Chandler Pai

December 16, 1996 — July 27, 2014

Jarred Chandler Pai, 17, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 as a result of a car accident in Colorado. Jarred and step-brother, Coalton, were traveling home from a two week trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jarred was born December 16, 1996, in Clackamas, Oregon, the son of Alison Guldenzopf and Eric Pai. He was a student at United Township High School in East Moline. He was an avid Boy Scout, working on his Eagle Scout. Jarred loved gardening, canoeing, hiking, and backpacking. He also enjoyed metal work, forging, reading, cooking, working on cars, and other outdoor activities.

Jarred lived and loved every moment. He was a remarkable young man and will be greatly missed by all.
