Jenifer Marie Rodgers

Jenifer Marie Rodgers, 49, of Moline, passed away April 24, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 3, 2025, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 91 Union Hall, 8124 42nd Street West, Rock Island Illinois, where all are welcome to join us in celebrating Jennifer's life and share stories. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made for her children, Aiden and Emma. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Jenifer was born on December 5, 1975, in Moline, the daughter of Charlie and Kim (Kruger) von Motz. She married Kevin Rodgers in Moline. She graduated from Moline High School and later from Northern Illinois University and went onto work as a family support specialist with Every Child. Her passion was always for children, and she loved working with pre-elementary level kids. Jenifer enjoyed crafting and spending time with her children, Aiden and Emma, especially when she talked them into going to Hobby Lobby together.

Survivors include her children, Aiden Rodgers and Emma Rodgers, father, Charles and Kim Samuelson-vonMotz; brothers, Charles (Cassandra) von Motz, Daniel (Courtney) von Motz; uncle and aunts, Jerry & Chris Kruger and Faith Kruger; nieces and nephews, Adaleah, Kailee, Lorelei, Eben, Griffin von Motz.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kim Kruger-von Motz; grandparents, Harold & Margaret von Motz, Pat & Jerry Kruger; aunts, Paula Pruden, Nancy von Motz; uncle, Kurt Kruger; and special “gramaw”, Hazel Spence.
