Jerome C. Harper, 82, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Jerome was born on December 15, 1930, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Roscoe C. and Rosine M. (Borst) Harper. He married Lois E. Hay on January 31, 1976, in East Moline, IL. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2011, in East Moline. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a combine repairman for John Deere. Jerome managed Hasty's Mobile and Wilson's DX. He started the St. Louis Cardinal Fan Club in the Quad Cities. Also, he was a founding member of the King Pin's Car Club.
