Jerry M. Myers

Jerry Michael Myers, 66, of East Moline passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.  Memorials may be made to Rescued the boutique that benefits pets in need, shoprescued.com

Jerry was born on July 7, 1952 in Moline the son of Byron Myers and Virgie Aldridge Myers-Hawotte.  He married Pamela Ann Sullivan on June 24, 1972 in Green Rock, Illinois.

Jerry was employed with WQPT Television at WIU as a TV programmer for 35 years retiring in November of 2015.  He enjoyed hiking, camping and attending Celtic festivals.  Jerry also enjoyed reading, old radio shows, folk music and watching Italian cooking shows.  He also had an interest in Chinese Daoism.

He is survived by his wife, Pam; Daughter and son-in-law, Kara Kathleen Myers and Peter Learn; Granddaughters, Bella, Violet & Gwendolyn Learn; Brother, Byron Joe (Carolyn) Myers; Sister, Edith Stilwell; Devoted nephew and niece, Travis Myers and Rebecca Myers; Beloved canines, Pearl and Wallace.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
