John K. Carlyle

John K. Carlyle, 77, of Coal Valley, IL, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at River Crossing of Moline.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to either UnityPoint Hospice or River Crossing of Moline.

John was born on April 11, 1945, in Sublette, Missouri, the son of Cecil and Gladys (Geisinger) Carlyle. He was previously employed at John Deere Harvester, retiring in 2004 after thirty years. John enjoyed being outdoors fishing, boating, and camping. He also liked to ride his motorcycle. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and his yorkie, Baby.

Survivors include his children, John M. (Nacole) Carlyle, Melissa (Troy) Geiger, and Jeremy Carlyle; grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Timothy, Meriah and Chloe; great grandchild, Remington; siblings, Faye “Cookie” (Bill) Ray, Muriel Green, Dale Carlyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Donald, Dale, Carole Brown, Doris, Donna Jean Powell, and brothers-in-law, Marty Green and Jim Powell.
