John "Jack" W. Youngfeldt

John “Jack” W. Youngfeldt, 89, of Silvis, IL, passed away, October 24, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Jack was born on June 5, 1937, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Carl and Hazel (Greenstreet) Youngfeldt. He married Donna J. Janey in Kewanee, IL on June 6, 1981. Jack worked as an assembler for Case IH and retired in 1999. He is a veteran, having served in the US Army and was stationed in Orleans, France.

Jack attended Wethersfield High School in 1957. He was a huge football fan and enjoyed going to Wethersfield football games. In his free time, Jack also enjoyed fishing, visiting state parks and sightseeing, watching classic movies (especially Westerns) and Christian movies, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Jack also took great pride in caring for his cars. Above all, Jack's faith in Jesus Christ was most important, and he was devoted to sharing the Gospel with others.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, John B. Youngfeldt, Ann (Tom Schaefer) Youngfeldt, Roxie Davis, Jessica (Rob) Bounds, Heidi Youngfeldt; grandchildren, Sarah, Melanie, Jordan, Kaitlyn, and Janessa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
