John A. Lavine, "J.D.", 59, of Rapids City, IL, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family and close friends.
The family is holding a Memorial Gathering at J.D.'s house at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to his family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
John was born on June 4, 1953, in Moline, IL, the son of Burdette and Ann (Di Benedetto) Lavine. He married Cynthia L. Adamson on June 20, 2004 in Rock Island, IL. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2012. John worked in the pipeline industry as a Lowboy Driver for Murphy Bros. and K&M Equipment for 27 years. He was a huge Steeler's fan who enjoyed playing pool, camping, riding his Harley, and drinking his apple juice "JDs". Above all, John loved spending time with his family and friends.
