John A. Popp, 79, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
John was born on May 15, 1934, in Moline, IL, the son of Marshal and Ethel (Carlson) Popp. He married Deanna Griffin in 1996 in Rock Island, IL.
John worked as a laborer for Kone for 32 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed building remote control cars and building computers.
Survivors include his loving wife, Deanna

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Ralph Griffin, III, and his mother, Ethel.
