John P. Soliz, 59, of Moline, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
John was born on December 24, 1955, in Moline, IL, the son of Tanilo and Patricia Quinones Soliz. He worked as an assembler for Case I.H. from 1974 until 2004. After his retirement, he worked for the City of Moline, performing maintenance for Saukie Golf Course as well as Rainbow Skip-A-Long Rock Island.
He was previously married to Jean Warfield.
John was a member of Bettendorf Apostolic Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing all sports.
