John "Jack" B. Tindall, beloved husband and father, 62, of Saginaw, MI, formerly of Sherrard, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper, MI.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The son of the late Robert and Marie (Holliday) Tindall, Jack was born July 22, 1953 in Moline, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at Iowa State University. Jack married Diana Palmer, his loving wife of 32 years, on December 2, 1983, in Akron, OH. She survives him. Jack was employed at the Social Security Administration for 33 years until his retirement in 2013. He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader for many years. Jack enjoyed watching sports, listening to music and loved time spent with his family and friends.
Surviving besides his wife, Diana, are one son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Helena Tindall, Austin, Texas; one brother, Joe and Karen Tindall, East Moline, Illinois; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and special friends, including Steve Bartlett, Vernon Moreira, and John Bruske; and Jack's canine companion, Doug. Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Janice DeTaeye.
