Jolene Ann Jarpe, 80, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3207 60th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Entombment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch or to Irene Davis Be Faithful Circle of Kings Daughter and Sons.
Jolene was born on June 17, 1934, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Philomen and Mary Louise Chenoweth Roeschman. In 1952, she graduated from United Township High School in East Moline and later attended St. Anthony's School of Nursing in Rock Island, IL. She married Morris "Mose" M. Jarpe on October 22, 1955, at St. Anne's Church in East Moline, IL, and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2009.
In her early years, Jolene worked at Montgomery Wards and for Dr. John Davies, Sr. She retired from John Deere Co., East Moline, on May 31, 1986, after 31 years of dedicated service.
Jolene was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline where she served as an usher and also in other capacities. She was also a member of Clara Lodge Independent Order of Vikings. Jolene was the past National President of Phi Tau Omega Sorority, the past president of Mississippi River Valley Chapter of the Embroiders Guild of America, and the president of Irene Davis Be Faithful Circle of Kings Daughter and Sons. She was also a board member of Friendship Manor and Visiting Nurses.
Jolene was a master embroiderer and exhibited her work at various local art shows. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, computers, and spending time with family. She loved her annual trip to AZ and while there she knitted preemie caps for infants in the hospital and afghans for the needy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
