Jonah Nehemiah Stille, 4, of Sheffield, TX, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015, at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Jonah was born on April 18, 2011, in Moline, IL, the son of Mark Alan and Heather Lynn Vaughn Stille. He loved meeting with his Awana Cubbies group and attending Vacation Bible School. He also loved to swim and was an exceptional deer spotter.
Jonah was affectionately nicknamed "Cookie" and especially enjoyed teasing all of his brothers. He was a very good little helper; always continuing to help until the job was done. He loved to ask, "Can I help you?" Jonah was so friendly and so loving. He made so many friends in the short time he lived in Texas.
Jonah was loved so very much by all of his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Survivors include his loving parents, Mark and Heather; siblings, Andrew, Noah, Isaiah, Joshua, and twin brother, Jesse; paternal grandparents, Keith and Karen Stille, Woodhull, IL; maternal grandmother, Jennifer Vaughn, Colona, IL; maternal grandfather, Timothy Vaughn, Bettendorf, IA; paternal great grandmother, Ramona Stille, Shell Rock, IA; maternal great grandmother, Mildred Vaughn, Milan, IL; uncle, Jason (Melissa) Vaughn, Colona, IL; aunts, Heather Stille, Galesburg, IL, and Shonna (Jeff) Dean, Moline, IL; cousins, Dimitree Dickerson, Galesburg, IL, Marcus Kipp, Moline, IL, and Gabriel Dean, Moline, IL.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jeremy Vaughn; great paternal grandparents, Sewell and Ila Dillbeck; paternal great grandfather, Clarence Stille; maternal great grandfather, Bert Vaughn; maternal great grandparents, Logan and Mayme Jackson.
