Joe was born on May 19, 1944, in Arlington, Virginia, the son of Joseph W. and Aileen (Anderson) Green, Sr. He married Victoria Salmon in Rock Island. Joe later married Susan Francis in 1990, in Cleveland, IL. He was previously employed as the Vice President of KVF Quad Corporation in East Moline, retiring in 2010. He also worked as a quality control consultant for ISO during his work at KVF. He was a talented artist, focusing on wood carving and donated many of his pieces to the Festival of Trees. Joe devoted much of his life in service to others as a friend of Bill, but most important was his love for his family.
Joe was a great Friend of Bill. He was welcomed into a fellowship who helped him find a new freedom & a new happiness, serenity & peace, and most importantly a connection with his Creator. For years he spent much of his time giving back to others what had been so freely given to him. Through God's work he became an asset to that same growing fellowship of people who needed his experience, strength, and hope in return. He was a mentor, brother, and advocate who helped pave the way for so many to find their way out of the darkness and to rediscover life. It wasn't uncommon for Joe to open his home to his brothers and sisters so they might have a spot to sit at a holiday or just a cup of coffee and good conversation. By the Grace of God Joe trudged the Road of Happy Destiny for the last 33 years of his life and now has loved ones following in his footsteps with the same fire, passion, and devotion he had. He is now at peace with his God and in the Presence of Infinite Power and Love.
