Judith Ellen Collin, age 62, passed away at home with her family Monday, March 16, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Stand Up for Cancer or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Judith was born and raised in Rock Island, IL and graduated from Rock Island High School in 1964. In 1988 she married Jerry J. Collin and has made her home in Columbia, TN since then.
Judith loved boating on the Tennessee and Mississippi Rivers with her husband and friends. She also loved being around her grandchildren. Judith was an avid bowler in Illinois and Tennessee and held many titles in both states. She also held various positions on Illinois and Tennessee State Boards. She was the first woman inducted into the greater Columbia USBC Hall of Fame. Judith was a long time employee of Quad City Builders Association in IL and was a member of "Quad City Women in Construction (WIC)". She retired from Crosslin Building Supply in 2006. She was also a long time member of Knights of Pythias, Milan.
