Judith B. Smith

Judith B. Smith, 83, of Moline, died February 19, 2009 at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Judith was born November 6, 1925 in Moline to Carl J. and Bessie (Nelson) Johnson. She married Earl L. Smith on October 8, 1949 in Moline. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2004.
She retired after 46 years from the Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric and worked part time as a sales person for von Maur.
Judith graduated from Moline High School in 1944. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church, Moline. She enjoyed playing and watching golf and was a life member of Oakwood Country Club. She also enjoyed knitting, working in the yard, vacationing in Florida, going out to dinner and attending family gatherings. She also had volunteered at the former Lutheran Hospital in the gift shop for many years.
