Julie L. Hook, 73, of Rock Island, IL, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor or to First Covenant Church in Moline.
Julie was born on January 17, 1941, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Harry A. and Margaret (Gren) Hook. She was a volunteer at Friendship Manor enjoying reading to the people and working in the gift shop.
Julie was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church in Rock Island. She was a member of King's Daughters, Edith Cavell, and a former member of First Covenant Church in Moline. Julie enjoyed needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Thomas Hook.
