Julie A. Krebs, 67, of Moline, IL, died Saturday, December 6, 2014, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.
Julie was born on December 14, 1946, in Paris, IL, the daughter of Edward E. and Ethel Gleckler Krebs. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1969 and then taught at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs until 1974. Julie later moved to Moline and taught Title 1 in the Moline School District for several years. She worked as the secretary for Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., from 1982 until 1999.
Julie was a past Matron for the East Moline Chapter 779 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Plow Capital Chapter - ABWA, Mary Little Deere Chapter D.A.R., and First United Methodist Church. She was a former elected Woman of the Year by Plow Capital Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Phil Krebs.
