Katherine V. McIntosh

Katherine V. McIntosh, 91, formerly of Moline, passed Saturday August 31, 2024, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 14, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. The family asks those who attend to please wear masks.

Katherine was born on March 27, 1933, in Montezuma, Iowa, the daughter of E. Gilbert and V. Pauline (Dunton) Smith. She had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal Post Restaurant for 25 years, retiring in 1993. Katherine was a member of First Christian Church, Moline.

She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and dominos with her lady friends. Reading and watching sports, especially the Cubs & Hawkeyes. 

Survivors include her children; Kathy McIntosh, Karen (Patrick) Fells, John McIntosh,sister, Shirley (Pete) Guyton and many nieces and nephews, grandchildren; Jake Fells, Nathan McIntosh, Angel McIntosh (Nichols), Holly Smith (Hart), Warren Smith Jr., great grandchildren; Mason, Taner, Justin, Amela, Oliver, Myles, Kayla and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Lowell (Rosie) Smith.
