Kathleen A. (Smith) Getty, 83, of Moline, passed away March 21, 2025, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday March 26, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Kathleen was born on September 27, 1941, in Moline, the daughter of Beryl and Viola (DeAulley) Smith. She graduated from United Township High School and later from Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses, Moline. Kathleen married Roger A. Getty and together they had two daughters. She was employed as a registered nurse for the former Illini Hospital and later retired from John Deere where she was a first aid nurse. Kathleen enjoyed her work and made many lifelong friends along the way.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam Getty of East Moline and Kim (Tom) Getty-Kuzelka, Omaha; grandchildren, Lily Kuzelka, Kate Kuzelka, and Jonathan Getty; great grandchild, Brooklyn Getty; sister, Sandra (Delbert) Clevenger.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
