Kathryn Lough

Kathryn R. Lough, 85, of Orion, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301-4th Orion. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be the Orion United Methodist church or the Arthritis Foundation.
Kathryn was born October 19, 1929 in Ophiem, IL, the daughter of Henry and Helen Peterson Stromquist. She married Willis "Bill" Glenn Lough on September 4, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
Kathryn was an active member of the Orion United Methodist Church, where she was involved in numerous activities including the Women's Clubs, Circles, quilting, prayer chain and church basement sale. She was active in the ministries of all United Methodist women. She was also involved in Junior Women's Club. She was a gardener and loved crafts and knitting. Kathryn also enjoyed camping, bowling, Canada fishing trips and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death in by her parents, two brothers Theron and Lyle and a sister Marjorie Ihlefeld.
