Kathryn Juanita (McQuiston) Yocom

Kathryn Juanita Yocom, 103, of Moline passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Kathryn has been cremated and was buried at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on August 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.

Luncheon will follow at First Baptist Church.

Kathryn was born October 6, 1921, in New Cambria, MO. She was the daughter of Simon Antry and Lou Ella (Milsap) McQuiston.

She married Merle Yocom in a small Baptist Church on June 24, 1951 in Lagonda, MO. He passed away April 24,1984. She worked at Aramark for 30 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Moline, IL acting as Secretary of Sunday School class, John Mason Peck for over ten years. She enjoyed music, daily devotions and church activities. A favorite for Kathryn was the Women’s Bible Study that met weekly.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, brother, LaVone McQuiston, a niece and a great-nephew.

She is survived by her nephews, Darrell (Pat) McQuiston of Hoschtom, GA; her nieces, Karen (Rick) Stubbs of Macon, MO, Glenda Bunton of Moline, IL, Sue McQuiston of Macon, MO, Merle’s nephew, Albert (Mary) Yocom of Missouri and two great-nephews along with a very special friend, Willie Phillis of Moline, IL.
