Kathy Jeanne Foslien

Kathy Jeanne Foslien, 74, of Moline, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 13th St, Moline, IL.  Visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd, 6601 38th Ave Moline.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an organization that provides books to children.

Kathy was born on December 14, 1947, in Moline, the daughter of Clarence Allen and Bonnie Lou (Poppy) Kruse. She married Stanley Reuben Foslien in 1977 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline, IL. Kathy was a lifelong learner and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Western Illinois University.  She was a special education teacher for 16 years for the Davenport School System before retiring in 2015. Kathy was very active in Boy Scouts and had earned a Wood badge, the adult equivalent to an Eagle badge and had a vigil honor in order of the arrow, a service organization in Boy Scouts. Kathy enjoyed making crafts all her life.

Survivors include her son, Allen; sister, Kristine; nephew, Derek; many cousins, their children, and grandchildren; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Karla.
