Kathy Jo Hardin

Kathy Jo Hardin, 75, of Moline, passed away July 17, 2025, at Park Vista in East Moline.

Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to your local animal shelter or Rescued. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Kathy was born on March 15, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Russell H. And Frances D. (McKay) Hardin. She had been employed in the data processing field and worked for Tru Value Hardware in Rock Island.

She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline. Kathy had a big heart when it came to animals. She treasured her own pets and enjoyed watching the wildlife that inhabited the shared ravines in the neighborhood. She also shared her concern for her neighbor’s welfare when unusual situations presented themselves. If there was a different day for garbage collection because of a holiday, Kathy called. If the power went out in the neighborhood, Kathy called. She had a genuine concern for her friends.

On many occasions she would talk about her childhood and the love she had for her parents. Now she will be reunited with them and our Lord for eternity.

She is survived by several cousins in the southern United States.
