Keith W. Jacobson, 57, of Orion, IL, died Sunday, January 03, 2016, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL.
The family will hold private services. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Keith was born on December 13, 1958, in Moline, IL, the son of Ted D. and Verna M. Lough Jacobson. He married Janet G. McInnis on April 23, 1994, in Abilene, TX.
Keith graduated from United Township High School in 1977. He went on to earn his Bachelor Degree from New Mexico Highlands University and his Master's Degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He worked as a radiation and air quality specialist for Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Keith was an endurance cyclist and rode his bike from Los Alamos New Mexico to the Quad Cities at least 10 times. He loved the outdoors and astronomy. More than anything, Keith loved spending time with his family, especially his children.
Survivors include his loving wife, Janet; daughters, Natalie Jacobson and Kelly Jacobson; son, Willis Jacobson; parents, Ted and Verna Jacobson; brother, Mark (Suji) Jacobson; sister, Tracey (Kent) Loo; niece, Kristin Loo; nephew, Paul Loo.
