Kenneth Fransen

Kenneth F. Fransen, 91, of Orion, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2021, at Orion United Methodist Church, 407 12th Ave, Orion.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Inurnment will be at Western Township Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted.

Kenneth was born on August 17, 1929, in Geneseo, the son of Frank and Ora (Coneghy) Fransen. He married Eloise Mitchell on September 19, 1953. He served in The United States Army.  Ken worked as a farmer in the Orion area.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Cathy Anderson; son, Kevin Fransen; grandchildren, Jessica (Keith) Egert, Ashley Fransen, Stacey (Shane) Lofgren; great grandchildren, Kenny, Taylor, Cameron; and great-great grandchild, Everly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister.
