Kenneth W. Harrison

Kenneth W. Harrison, 90, of Moline, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice Home, Bettendorf, IA.

A private family graveside service will be held.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church in Moline.

Kenneth was born on December 14, 1929 in Davenport, IA, the son of Richard B. and Elvina A. (Olson) Harrison. He married Beverly J. Carlson on January 25, 1953 in Moline. She preceded him in death on November 17, 2013. Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for John Deere Harvester in East Moline for 35 years and retired in 1984 as a Senior Engineer Analyst. Kenneth attended the First Covenant Church in Moline for over 80 years and could regularly been seen on a riding mower in a straw hat well into his eighth decade.

Survivors include his son, Robert (Anita) Harrison, Chicago; son-in-law, Mark Winthurst, Moline; grandchildren, Julia Harrison and Luke Harrison (Audra), Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; daughter, Laurie A. Winthurst; brother, Richard Harrison.
