Kenneth James Udehn, 68, formerly of Moline, passed away Friday, April 9th, 2021, at Verschoore Group Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Monday, April 12, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, LTD, Moline. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1611 41st Street, Moline. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, where he will join his parents. Memorials can be made to Faith Lutheran Church, TQCSHA Sled Hockey, or to the ARC of the Quad Cities. In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Kenny was born on December 28th, 1952 in Chicago, the son of Carlysle and Catharine Belding Udehn. Kenny was an active participant in the QC community. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a founding member of New Kingdom Trailriders. He loved being involved in local sports; he was a member of the TQCSHA sled hockey team and water skiing sponsored by Backwater Gamblers and St. Ambrose College. Among his many other passions were camping, traveling, fishing, journaling, rock polishing and collecting, bowling, scrapbooking, and watching movies, game shows, and soap operas. He especially enjoyed trips with family to South Dakota and Disney World.

Kenny’s presence will be greatly missed. He was a well-known and beloved fixture within the QC community. He had a special way of lighting up any room with his infectious smile. He gave so much love to so many. His legacy will live on in all the lives he touched within the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Dr. David Udehn and his wife Rose of Bay City Michigan, and his sister, Kippy Udehn and her husband Bill Murphy of Highmore, SD, as well as his nieces and nephews, Crystal Udehn, Tara Johanneson, Cierra Lindquist-Haffner, Suzanne Hanson, Michelle Udehn, Cpt. Zane Lindquist, Skye Bork, and Paul Udehn and a host of friends and family.
