Kenneth Eugene Phillips

Kenneth Eugene Phillips, 83, of Moline, passed away June 9, 2025, at Charter Senior Living of Moline.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday June 14, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Ave, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Kenneth was born on October 11, 1941, in Keithsburg, IL, the son of John and Irene (Wakeland) Phillips. He married Janet Elaine Bretl on July 23, 1960. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Navy from 1960-1962, having been station in Norfolk, VA and Reykjavik, Iceland. Ken had been employed as the District Sales Manager in Industrial Sales at Sterling Products, L.R. Christiansen and Co., and Kennametal. After retirement he worked as a bailiff at the Rock Island County Courthouse and as a Payment Hearing Officer. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and he enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Janet; son, Steven Phillips; sisters, Elaine Fedorchak, Susan Thompson, and Cindy Forgie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
