Kevin Mital

Kevin Mital, 68, of Moline, passed away on September 16, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will also be at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kevin was born on March 6, 1958, in Moline, the son of Raymond M. and Ruth (Bell) Mital. He married Shirley Neitzel on September 24, 1988, in Davenport. Kevin worked for Carpenters Local 166 / Local 4 and later in Davenport. He retired after 30 years.

He was a 1976 graduate of Moline High School, and was on their baseball, football, and wrestling teams. Throughout his life, he loved following sports, particularly football and baseball, and cheered faithfully for the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.

Kevin loved being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the home.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; children, Jaime Ketelsen and Eric Ketelsen; grandchild, Serena; great grandchildren; Carsyn and Rosaleigh; brother, Kenneth (Wilma) Mital; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
