Kham Kongkousonh

Kham Kongkousonh, 81, of East Moline, IL, passed away, September 1, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday September 6, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday September 5, at the funeral home. Cremation rites will take place following the services. Memorials may be made to the family.

Kham was born on January 1, 1944, in Pakse, Laos. She married Sanh Kongkousonh on March 21, 1963. She had worked with the Lao People’s Army in accounting and payroll. After moving to the U.S., Kham worked at Tyson Foods. She enjoyed traveling and tending to her vegetable garden. Kham loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Souk & Inpang, Ametta, Eng & Donna, Ong & Marcy, Jay & Layai Daniel, Lanoi & Dave Cutler, Keo & Matt Williams, Lucky; siblings, Khaykeo Kongkousonh and Sombounn Kongkousonh; 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Samlane Kongkousonh and sister, Mamychanh Syxaiyavong.
