Kristine “Kris” Lynn Bronner, 55, of Orion, IL, passed away after a courageous 4 year battle with breast cancer on Monday, June 15, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Davenport East Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church, Coal Valley. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline and an additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church on Friday. Interment will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Kris was born on July 9, 1970, in Silvis, Illinois, the daughter of Larry J. Swemline and Diane L. Swemline. She married Kevin Bronner on June 5, 2004 in Orion and was a loving mother to Kyle Bronner and Kloe Bronner.
Kris graduated from UTHS in 1988 where she was an active diver; she went on to attend Bolivar College in Missouri. Upon returning to the Quad Cities she began working in various medical offices, ending her career of 18 years with MercyOne Genesis East with her friend Jean Wardlow M.D. Kris was currently employed as a CMA with MercyOne Genesis East. Kris was a very active member at New Hope Baptist Church, and the Orion Music Booster Club. She was a member of the Medical Association Group of the Quad Cities. Kris loved spending time with family and friends creating a loving, caring and warm home, above all she was a proud new grandma.
Survivors include her, beloved husband of 22 years, Kevin; children, Kyle Bronner, Kloe Bronner; granddaughter, Mazie Bronner; father, Larry Swemline; mother, Diane Swemline; father-in-law, Marvin (Alice) Bronner and brother, Michael (Christine) Swemline.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
