Larry Bowman

Larry Bowman, 78, of Hoover, AL, formerly of Milan, IL, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to The American Heart Association at their website, https://www.heart.org.  In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Larry was born on July 17, 1942 in Muscatine, IA, the son of Sherleigh and Vivian (Clark) Bowman.  He married Virginia Moseley on October 1, 1966 in Milan, IL.  She preceded him in death on July 16, 2017.  Larry served in the United States Air Force.  He worked as a traffic service engineer for Brown Traffic. He was a former member of St Pius X Catholic Church. Larry enjoyed working on cars, gardening, stock car racing, and watching the Mecum and Barrett Jackson car auctions. He also loved watching baseball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his daughters, Julie (Scott) Cunningham, Apex NC, and Laura (Louis) Pach, Chelsea, AL; grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Lauren, Jessica & Braden; and several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Diane, and brother Doug.
