Larry Louis Littig, 72, of Moline, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 10, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to River Bend Food Bank. In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.
Larry was born on June 10, 1948, in Moline, the son of Donald W. and Betty Jane (Warren) Littig, Sr. He married Delwina Diane Sill on May 20, 1972, in Moline. He was a U.S. veteran, serving in the Army. Larry previously worked as a welder at George Evans Corporation then International Harvester. He later worked for McLaughlin Body.
Larry loved being outdoors planting flowers, gardening, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed helping his brother build hot rods. Above all Larry loved spending his time with his dogs and family.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Tammy (David) De Bree, Port Byron, and Sandy (Ken) Westfall, Milan; grandchildren, Shelbi, Garon, Elizabeth, Makensie, and Anderson Westfall; sister-in-law, Julie Littig; nephew, Don P. (Penny) Littig; sister-in-law, Linda (Joe) Barnett, brother-in-law, David (Cindy) Sill; several nieces and nephews; his dedicated black lab Sammy his buddy; and longtime dear friend Herb Crompton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmom, Ellen Forsythe Littig; brother, Donald W. Littig Jr; aunt, Charlotte Mason; in-laws, Delbert, and Edwina Sill.
