Larry D. Mallette

Larry D. Mallette, 78, of Bettendorf, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

In accordance with the family’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Larry was born on February 29, 1944, in Ypsilanti, Michigan the son of Marjorie Mallette. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He married Barbara Lueders on June 19, 1970, in Moline. Larry was previously employed as an over the road truck driver. He was interested in cars, tending to his yard, and was an incredibly involved grandpa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Candy (Brian) Stender, Christine (Bud) Catterton, Randy (Barb) Vande Voort, Scott (Michael Osso) Vande Voort; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
