Larry Tidwell

Larry D. Tidwell, 74, of Colona, Illinois, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or American Cancer Society.

Larry was born on October 30, 1946, in Guin, Alabama to John and Elvira Tucker Tidwell.  He married Christine on June 24, 1964, in Silvis, Illinois. Larry was employed with John Deere Harvester as a manual welder, he retired on December 2, 1987.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and building and flying remote control airplanes.  He loved spending time with his family, but most importantly were his grandchildren and great grandchild, who was the apple of his eye.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; children, John (Diane) Tidwell, Brad (Renee) Tidwell; grandchildren, Kaitee (Cody) Powell, Jake (Andrea) Tidwell, Kyle Tidwell, Amanda Tidwell; great granddaughter, Rosiee Powell; sister, Doris (Bernice) Terry.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lowell Tidwell.
