Laverne R. Schnoebelen, age 98, of Moline, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 412-10th Street, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. Entombment is at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline.
Laverne was born December 7, 1914 in Riverside, IA., the daughter of Joseph and Viola (Kueneman) Waldschmidt. She married Valerian Schnoebelen. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1982.
Laverne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was in the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, baking and playing euchre and rummy. Laverne was a loving grandmother and friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Donna Sersion; sons-in-law Ralph Sersion and Danny Williams; granddaughter Jody Lutze; and grandson Dennis Rodgers.
