LaVon I Rannow

LaVon I. Rannow, 82, of Neponset, formerly of Orion, IL, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
LaVon was born on December 4, 1933, in Buffalo Prairie, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Lucille Summers Sheese. She married Vernon Rannow on April 15, 1950, at home in Rock Island, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2005. She was a homemaker and in her later years, worked at a restaurant and for the Holiday Inn in Moline.
LaVon was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include her children, Pamela (Dave) Richter, Cheyenne, WY, David Rannow, Neponset, IL, Douglas (Laurie) Rannow, East Moline, IL, Thomas Rannow, Neponset, IL, Beth (Dennis) Frew, Wyocena, WI, William Rannow, Show Low, AZ, and Bruce (Teng) Rannow, Rock Island, IL; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; brother, Russell (Patty) Sheese, Moline, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter; and brother, Richard Sheese.
