Lee Sims

Lee Sims, 59, of Moline, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future disbursement.

Lee was born on January 14, 1963, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Roy and Darlene (Melkush) Sims. He was employed as a CDL driver for Republic Services for 19 years. Lee loved camping and driving his golf cart. Lee’s family was always his top priority and he loved spending time with them.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Shelley Broughton Sims; daughter, Kristy; son, Cody; grandchildren, Xavier, Avayeh, Mila; daughter-in-law, Merc; father, Roy; sister, Penny; brother-in-law, Bobby; brother, David; daughter, Autumn; son, Mitch; and stepsisters, nieces, nephews and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene, brother, Jim; nieces, Amy and Jennifer; and nephew, Christopher.
