Lena D'Angelo

Lena D’Angelo, 101, of Port Byron, IL, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Lena was born on December 18, 1920, in New York, New York, the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Lattarulo) Cardone. She married Albert D’Angelo on April 28, 1946, in New York.  He preceded her in death on July 16, 2012. She previously worked as an employment coordinator at United Township High School.  Lena was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hampton. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Naidine D’Angelo, Port Byron, Karen D’Angelo, Ruskin, FL, and Lori (Lance) Carlson, Wyoming, MI; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, John; and 2 sisters.
