Lenore F Rostron

Mae Lenore Ferguson Rostron, 95, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Orion, died on July 31, 2011 at Valley View Assisted Living in Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the Orion Baptist Church.
Lenore was born on December 31, 1915 in Orion, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Amelia "Millie" Rutledge Ferguson. She married Arthur Rostron on August 18, 1938 in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Ruth Ferguson Botsford at the Orion Baptist Church. Arthur preceded her in death on December 12, 2005.
Lenore attended Western Illinois Teachers College in the 1930's and returned to Orion to teach in the local grade school. In the 1960's Lenore completed her college education and once again returned to teaching in the Lanark Elementary system. As a Christian Lenore used her love for teaching to teach Sunday School classes and lead Bible study groups. Something she continued to do well into retirement. After retirement Lenore and Art moved to Hawthorne Retirement Community in Leesburg, FL. And after spending sixteen years there, they made their final move to Valley View Retirement Community in Boise, ID.
Lenore had three children, Larry (spouse Charlotte) of New Lenox, IL; Ruth Ann (deceased), and Steve (spouse Teresa) of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
