Leota Adelsa Hantz, 92, of Rock Island, went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Broadway Presbyterian Church, 710- 23rd Street, Rock Island, IL, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Additional Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the church.
Leota was born on March 7, 1923, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Stanley and Helen Schaefer Wilson.
She married Peter Hantz on December 21, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2010.
Leota was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked for the East Moline Schools in the Cafeteria for 10 years. She was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, where she was active in the Women's Groups. She enjoyed embroidery and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She attended at least one Cubs game every year. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great grandkids.

Sherri Hantz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 children, John, Peter, Jr., and Stanley; sisters, Lois, Pat, and Mary;
and great-grandson, Adam Dobereiner
